A free directory of businesses in Rockhampton and on the Capricorn Coast, from Gracemere and Mount Morgan to Yeppoon and Emu Park. As of October 2026 it lists 2,314 businesses in 261 categories across 73 suburbs and towns.
Rockhampton experiences steady growth, and the Capricorn Coast beside it is growing faster. Livingstone Shire, the Yeppoon side, has grown 19% in 10 years to 43,668 people (ABS Regional population 2024-25) and is projected to grow by another third in the years ahead, with Rockhampton Regional Council growing alongside it (Queensland Government projections, 2025 edition).
Australians are leaving the capital cities for the regions at the highest rate since the Regional Movers Index began (Regional Australia Institute, March quarter 2026).
The $1.98 billion Rockhampton Ring Road is under construction with its bridge girders made locally, the $92 million mental health expansion at Rockhampton Hospital is opening in 2026, and Singapore's armed forces train at Shoalwater Bay every year (Queensland Government statements, July and August 2026; Department of Defence).
New faces arrive every week, and once they settle in they need a mechanic, a dentist and a landscaper. This guide introduces them to the business owners who are already established and trusted.
This guide covers Rockhampton Regional Council, the city on the Fitzroy, Gracemere and Mount Morgan, and Livingstone Shire, its own council again since 2014: Yeppoon, Emu Park, Keppel Sands and the Capricorn Coast. Gladstone, an hour and a half south, is not included yet, but may be included in future local guide releases.
The Central Highlands and Banana Shire are not included.
Construction is the largest group on both sides, 945 businesses in Rockhampton and 839 in Livingstone at June 2025, with agriculture second in each (ABS Counts of Australian Businesses, June 2025). Rockhampton's 5,724 businesses and Livingstone's 3,503 make 9,227 in all, where the same builder works a Gracemere shed on Monday and a Yeppoon deck on Friday.
Each day every listed website and business is scanned again, from a Yeppoon dive tour operator's to a Rocky mechanic's. A website that is slow to load, blocks automated visitors or times out is never a reason to remove a listing. A listing is removed only when the business is confirmed as no longer operating, or the owner tells us.
A builder or plumber's QBCC number is checked against the state register. Claimed pages lead every list; there is no paid spot.
New to Rocky, or to the coast? New to Rockhampton gets you started: the GP, the car rental, the Emu Park surfboard hire, town by town.
Marlowe Bennett runs this guide. He founded Coastworks AI, a Queensland consultancy that builds websites, email marketing and AI automations for small businesses, after 30 years in service businesses, and he pays for the guide and runs the system behind it.
That system scans every listed website each day; anything it cannot verify itself waits for Marlowe and his team to check. Nothing on a listing is influenced by Coastworks AI. Questions about a listing go to [email protected] or 0495 039 007.
Which listings are offered to Google, and how a listing is added, checked, claimed, fixed or removed: how this guide is built. The same guide runs in other regions, built the same way: all the local business guides. Business owners can also ask for a free Growth and Automation Audit of their own website.
The same daily-checked guide runs in other regions, built the same way by Coastworks AI.
